Kristal L. Tidwell

Kristal Tidwell joined McArthur & Levin in 2017. Prior to McArthur & Levin, she was an attorney for the Department of Defense in the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Station in China Lake, California, where she began her legal career advising on governmental projects involving contract, environmental, trademark, patent law and civil litigation cases.

Ms. Tidwell also has experience in civil litigation cases involving family, property and criminal law and practiced as a bankruptcy attorney representing individual and small business clients. Prior to law school, she served as a substitute middle and high school teacher, where she gained invaluable experience and insight into the challenges of public education. Ms. Tidwell’s collective employment background and experience has only served to enhance her ability to advise and assist school districts in special education cases and related matters through her work at McArthur & Levin.

Ms. Tidwell received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Yale College in 2007, and earned a Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine Law School in 2011.
