Nathan Ayala

Attorney at law

Nathan Ayala graduated from Santa Clara University in 2009 with a Political Science Major and a minor in English. He received his law degree from Santa Clara University’s School of Law in 2018. While there, he was a part of the mock trial team.

Mr. Ayala clerked for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office on three occasions, working with Narcotics, Misdemeanors, and Motions Units. As a Post-Bar Law Clerk, Mr. Ayala played an integral role in gaining a conviction in a misdemeanor jury trial, working with the Deputy District Attorneys assigned to the District Attorney’s South County Office in Morgan Hill, California.

After passing the bar, Mr. Ayala worked at the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley as an attorney representing tenants in the Housing Department. As a tenant attorney, Mr. Ayala zealously advocated on behalf of clients who were facing eviction, and worked zealously to ensure their rights were protected.

Mr. Ayala is a Hollister, California native who takes great pride in his South Bay and Central Coast roots. Indeed, his formative experiences informed his journey and interest in education, not to mention he hails from a family of long time public school educators and administrators. He joined McArthur & Levin in 2020. The transition to representing school districts was easy for Mr. Ayala, and became a natural fit given his interests in public school systems, programmatic improvements, and disability
related issues.

Mr. Ayala assists in special education litigation and advises clients on special education matters.
Mr. Ayala loves traveling with his family, and is a knowledgeable and avid fan of bay area sports.
